The textbook presents pedagogic and real-world speaking and writing tasks as the basis of its organization. The target audience of the textbook includes high beginner to low intermediate Korean language learners in both Korean as a foreign language (KFL) and Korean as a second language (KSL) contexts.
A defining characteristic of the textbook is that all tasks were designed, tested, and revised based on their use in actual Korean language classes. The in-class task performance process offers invaluable opportunities for using the Korean language in meaningful communicative contexts and drives Korean language learners to become Korean language users.
